According to reporter Marc Stein, Russell Westbrook has no interest in playing overseas at this time and his primary goal remains to stay in the NBA.

"League sources say there has 'never been any discussion' as of now about him considering playing overseas this season. If he's open to that, he'll naturally receive plenty of overseas offers, but I'm told securing his next NBA contract has always been a central focus for Team Westbrook. Even if that means - as seems increasingly likely these days - that the opportunity may not arise until after the start of the 2025-26 regular season on Oct. 21."
