Brewers send Priester to start, try to sweep Cubs to advance to NL Championship Game
Release time: 2025-10-08 PE Score

The Milwaukee Brewers will start right-hander Quinn Priester tomorrow in the Division Series against the Cubs in an effort to win three straight and advance to the NL Championship Game. Priester was a Cubs fan as a kid, going to games with his grandparents at Ragley Field in Glendale Heights, and witnessing the turnaround of the Cubs in Game 5 of the 2016 World Series.
Priester said the team gave him encouragement after his loss against the Cubs this season to help build his confidence. Brewers head coach Pat Murphy praised Priester: "That player that got hit by the Cubs, he wanted to keep pitching and show his competitive spirit. That loss made him open his ears and listen to how he could improve, and because of his competitive spirit, we got the best version of him."
