Chauderrio's late-season injury a concern, Brewers remain cautious as they prepare for Cubs

Release time: 2025-10-07 PE Score

Ahead of the NL Division Series against the Cubs, Brewers head coach Pat Murphy admitted that September was one of the toughest months of the season as the team struggled with injuries.

But October was better on the injury front. Outfielder Teo Rio, after experiencing tightness in his right hamstring in the first game, is still available to bat first and play left field in the second game. Charcolio said he was in good shape after the first game, but an MRI was inconclusive, leaving him questionable for the Series. He practiced light base-running Sunday and did not take batting practice or catch high fly balls.

This is the second time this season that Chauderrio has had trouble with his right hamstring, which he missed nearly all of August. He said he's in "very good shape" compared to his first injury, but he's still cautious with the late-season injury concerns.
