Today on ESPN, Shams Charania stated that LeBron James will not join the Lakers on their upcoming five-game road trip. The team internally believes his potential return date remains mid-month.

Shams said: "LeBron has been training individually. I've been told his next step is to participate in five-on-five scrimmages. He won't be joining the Lakers on their upcoming five-game road trip. So it's unclear whether he'll get game action during this period. He might collaborate with the G League's South Bay Lakers. Or the decision could be postponed until after the road trip concludes on November 16th and the team returns to Los Angeles."

"I learned today that the Lakers organization still expects LeBron's season debut to occur in mid-November. So there are still many unknowns. After all, he's 41 years old and entering his 23rd season—which is why Pelinka signed three new players this offseason."

According to the schedule, starting with this weekend's road game against the Hawks, the Lakers will face consecutive away games against the Hornets, Thunder, Pelicans, and Bucks. Upon returning home on November 19, they will host the Jazz.
