The Blue Jays had a 14-hit shutout with Barger and Kirk's two-run double, and eventually beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 to open the series. In the top of the 7th inning, Shohei Ohtani hit his first career World Series home run to help the Dodgers get two runs back, 4-11.

The Blue Jays ended the game with an 11-4 victory over the Dodgers, grabbing the first win of the series.
