Indiana Colts forward Aaron Nesmith has agreed to a two-year, $40.4 million contract extension through the 2028-29 season that includes trade guarantees, according to a Shams report.Nesmith is making the maximum salary allowed by the rules.

Last season, Nesmith averaged 12 points, 4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. He averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in the postseason, and was one of the team's best defensive players, shooting 49.2 percent from three-point range.
