In a recent interview, Haliburton spoke again about the help Tatum has given him and expressed his sincere hope that he will be back this season.

Haliburton said, "We talk a lot, weekly or bi-weekly, and he helps me stay positive, especially when I was injured, and he's been a great person for me to talk to, and I can count on him."

"He suffered a major injury six weeks before me and the recovery work he's been doing is something I'm really looking forward to. Although it's not a good thing to be injured, I'd say it's nice to have someone who's going through the same thing as you are, and I'm grateful to be able to talk to him, and it's like he's showing me what to do with his recovery, and I'm telling him what I'm doing, and we're pretty much looking out for each other."

"He's a good friend of mine and it's really cool to see what he's doing. Obviously he's talking about coming back this season and I really hope he does and I'm excited about it."
