Early this morning, USA Basketball announced via social media that Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra is the team's new head coach, with a contract through 2028.

Erik Spoelstra said, "I've always been a Dream Team fan. Of course it was my dream to coach this team, but I never thought it would come true. Being a part of this team and going to the Olympics with this team is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. I'm very grateful for this opportunity to be the head coach and I know how much is expected of this team."
