The Denver Post reports that the Denver District Attorney's Office confirmed that Strahinja Jokic, 43, was sentenced to one year's probation for misdemeanor and minor infractions after he pleaded guilty to two charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct for beating a Lakers fan last year.

The incident occurred last April when a video on social media showed Strahinja punching a man in the face during a Nuggets-Lakers game. The victim, a Lakers fan, later said in a lawsuit that he suffered a concussion, facial injuries and a deviated septum.

Strahinja, who was formally charged in July of last year, said he didn't think he did anything wrong and explained that he was defending a longtime friend.
