Recently, Mike Dunleavy, the Warriors' general manager, was asked about Steve Kerr's future and said that the championship-winning head coach can stay as long as he wants.

Mike Dunleavy said, "In theory, we could say that there's some uncertainty about Steve's future, but I personally wouldn't say that. It's not like you're in the last year of a manager's contract and there's nothing you can do about it. We know Steve well, he's been coaching for a long time and has been an amazing part of the Golden State Warriors."

"Personally, he can stay as long as he wants. We're going to use this season as a buffer and get through it together. Sometimes we need to see where he is mentally and physically. But it's hard for me to imagine Steve leaving or Curry ending his career without Steve."

"So I think everything will be fine, but we won't make a rash decision and we have to respect Steve's wishes."
