Naylor out for Mariners at Detroit on baby leave, doubtful for game
Release time: 2025-10-07 PE Score

Mariners first baseman Josh Naylor is questionable for Games 3 and 4 of the American League Division Series because he didn't fly with the team to Detroit because his wife is expecting a baby in Arizona.
Head coach Mike Wilson said Naylor took a personal day off and the team will confirm his status before Tuesday's game. Naylor, who can take up to three days off under postseason parental leave rules, is on the team's 26-man roster, and some of his replacements have already traveled with the team to Detroit, but the official roster hadn't been adjusted as of Monday night.
