In a recent interview with Greek media outlet SPORT24, Alphabet said that he would like to return to Europe to play before retiring.

Alphabet said, "I am willing to play in European basketball, even Messi went to the USL. As long as the conditions are right and the timing is okay, I'm certainly willing to play in Europe."

Alphabet, who began his career in 2011 playing for Greek third division club Philastikos, was confirmed for the NBA Draft in 2013 and was selected by the Bucks with the 15th overall pick in the first round.
