In a recent interview with ESPN, James said that he only has a few thousand dollars in his bank account and is nowhere near as rich as Google shows.

Asked if his net worth was really $1.2 billion as shown by Google, James said, "So now you guys expect me to start lying too? What Google search shows is not true, it's false. It's actually much less than that. I only have a couple thousand dollars in my bank account I think. A lot of my stuff is free, like my wedding ring, hats, etc."
