The report states that Curry had already exhibited cold symptoms during the previous game against the Suns. Despite playing through illness, he scored 28 points in 34 minutes. However, he coughed frequently after the game and admitted to feeling fatigued during the contest. Subsequently, Curry missed the Warriors' loss to the Kings.

Head coach Steve Kerr revealed he texted Curry to check on his condition, with Curry reporting his symptoms had continued to worsen. Consequently, Curry will not travel with the team to Denver and will instead rest at home. Butler and Draymond Green are expected to join the team on the road trip, both listed as "questionable" for the game, though the team hopes they can return for this matchup.
