Kerr stated: "Yes, he'll start today and will continue to start in upcoming games. He's been performing exceptionally well. Last night we had him guard Morant, and today he'll be defending Harden. I believe he's ready."

Kuminga has appeared in four games this season, averaging over 31 minutes per game with 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists. He is shooting 58.1% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range.
