According to Grizzlies reporter Drew Hill, head coach Isaio has revealed that Ja Morant will be able to play in the first game of the regular season.

Ja Morant missed the entire preseason after spraining his left ankle in practice on the 5th of this month. The team expected him to miss a few weeks, but Ja Morant's recovery has been much faster than expected.

The Grizzlies open the season on October 23rd against the Pelicans at 08:00 AM PT. The Grizzlies will then face their first "back-to-back" of the season, with back-to-back games against the Heat and Slippery Horses.
