The Lakers face the Maverick in today's NBA preseason game, but several US media outlets have confirmed that Doncic won't be playing in the game.

The Lakers just played the Suns yesterday, so they don't plan on putting a huge load on their starting rotation for this back-to-back. Doncic, Austin Reaves, Deandre Ayton, Jake LaRavia, and Marcus Smart will not play in this game.

Since being traded to the Lakers, Doncic has played the Maverick twice. On Feb. 25, Doncic scored 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists to help the Lakers win 107-99, and on April 9, Doncic scored 45 points on seven 3-pointers to help the Lakers beat the Lone Ranger 112-97.
