Ronny Sasaki took the mound in the eighth inning today and pitched a perfect game with 36 pitches, nine up, nine down over three innings to help put the game into an extra inning. Head Coach Roberts said after the game that he had originally planned to let Ronchi pitch two innings, but after seeing his stuff, he decided to let him pitch. Roberts also called the start "one of the best bullpen performances ever". In an interview, Longhi said that his fastball is back up to speed, and his forkball is in good shape, so he's able to attack the strike zone against hitters. He also thanked the team, fans, and coaches who helped him in the recovery process, so that he can stand on the stage in good health.

Sasaki Ranghi's 3 innings of 4.1 innings in the Divisional Series, only 1 hit, 3K, and no runs allowed, and all of his two relief chances were successful.
