According to Shams on the Pat McAfee Show, Jayson Tatum has made it clear to Celtic management that he wants to attempt a comeback this season.

If that happens, Tatum would become the first player in NBA history to return to the court within a year of tearing his Achilles tendon, but Boston management could still decide to sit him out for the entire season.
