Mikal Bridges was asked about former head coach Thibodeau during his appearance at the Knicks media day conference and said he was saddened by Thibodeau's dismissal.

Bridges said, "First of all, I'm just a regular guy and when I hear about anybody losing their job, I feel bad for them. I've always been a big admirer of Coach Thibodeau, he's a great guy and appreciate everything he's done. I've always felt bad for him."

Last season, Bridges was on record as saying the Knicks needed to adjust their rotation strategy to reduce playing time for starters and give more opportunities to the bench, but Thibodeau ultimately didn't go all in on the proposal.
