Recently, former Denver Nuggets champion coach Mike Malone was a guest on the SiriusXM radio program and confessed that he still hasn't been able to completely let go of being fired by the Nuggets.

Malone said, "In my heart, I am a coach. I'm a coach's son myself, so of course I'd love to get back into coaching."

"The end of my Denver tenure still saddens me to this day, and I was actually willing to leave the way I expected. But my years in the league have taught me how important it is to work with people you care about, trust, respect, and are working in the same direction every day."

"So if the opportunity to return to coaching in the NBA presents itself, I just want to make sure that I get to work with a group of like-minded people who all share the same vision and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. If there is such an opportunity, I would love to be a part of it. I'm a competitor and a mentor. But I'm a coach first and a TV end celebrity second."
