Aston Villa's president of soccer operations, Monchi, is leaving the club, according to The Athletic.

Monchi moved to Villa Park from Sevilla in 2023. He previously played for the La Liga club twice during his time with Roma.

Under Emery's coaching, Villa had a tough start to the season. Only one goal was scored in the first five rounds of the league, with a record of three losses and two draws.
