Recently, Brandon Mullen, a Blazers reporter, said in a podcast that Young Henson is now ready to be the core of the Blazers' organization.

He said, "The skills that Young Henson is looking to develop are already there. He can shoot the ball, he's a good free throw shooter, and he's got a three-point shot that he's already built up a little bit. His free throw shooting has been pretty consistent throughout the summer league, which is nice to see. His low post movement and dribbling is pretty good in the Chinese league, but it looks like it will take some time before he can put in live action in the NBA."
