After leading the Greek men's basketball team to the bronze medal at the European Championships, Alphabet opened a live stream via his personal IG account.

During the live broadcast, Alphabet saw a Turkish fan playing the Turkish flag in the comment section, he then said, "Take that damn flag away and stay out of here!"

There has been a long history of conflict between Greece and Turkey. During the current European Championships, Turkey's post-game social media statement after defeating Greece had also sparked protests from Greek fans, who accused them of glorifying the evils of genocide, but the Turkish fans said that it did not mean anything of the sort in their context.
